Innovation First is the official supplier of electronics for FIRST Robotics and also produces robot controls for Hobby Robotics, mini robotics for the education market, and server mounting kits for Dell, HP and IBM.  Founders are Bob Mimlitch and Tony Norman, two engineers of the original Team 148.

NASA Robotics Education Project

The NASA Robotics Education Project is dedicated to encouraging people to become involved in science and engineering, particularly robotics.  REP works to capture the educational potential of NASA's robotics mission by supporting educational robotics competitions.

Rube Goldberg
Through his inventions, Rube Goldberg discovered difficult ways to achieve easy results.  His cartoons were, as he said, symbols of man's capacity for exerting maximum force to accomplish minimal results.  Rube believed that there were two ways to do things:  the simple way and the hard way, and that a surprisingly number of people preferred doing things the hard way.
