Vanessa Pope
Vanessa has been
coaching the robotics team since 1994. She has been at
Greenville High School since 1982. She taught British
Literature and Journalism for 18 years and has taught Media
Technology and Marketing Education since 2001.
Vanessa graduated
from Texas A&M University at Commerce with a Bachelor's
Degree in Journalism/Advertising, a Bachelor's Degree in
English Literature, and an M. Ed. in Secondary Education.
She has received the honors of Who's Who Among American High
School Teachers, Special Distinction from Texas Professional
Women, and Key Communicator from Greenville Independent
School District.
Away from school,
Vanessa raises Braford cattle and runs an antique and
collectibles business. She enjoys sewing with vintage
linens and spending time with her grandchildren.
Vanessa's favorite
saying is, "With privilege comes responsibility, with
responsibility comes privilege." Her favorite song is
"God Bless Texas" and her favorite foods are Karen
McClellen's cheesecake and Casey Welch's noodles and
chicken. |
