Amanda Morrison
Amanda is in her
first year volunteering as a mentor for the robotics team.
Amanda grew up in
Hammond, Indiana and went to Gavit High School. She
participated on FRC Team #71 in 2002, then left for Ball
State University. While in college, she participated
on FRC Team #1020 and helped to start FRC Team #1720.
She graduated with a BA in English Studies in 2006.
Amanda helped to
start the Unsung Heroes Award for FIRST as well as to launch
the preliminary CollegiateFIRST database. She also
worked extensively with the IndianaFIRST organization to
assist in planning group meetings and activities.
After college,
Amanda was hired by the FIRST organization as the FIRST Vex
Challenge Program Coordinator. She worked at FIRST
Headquarters until December 2007, when she moved to Texas
and joined the Robowranglers. In her seventh year of
FIRST involvement, she will be working with the Award teams
as well as heading up the Strategy & Scouting teams.
