Vanessa Pope

Vanessa Pope has been head coach of the robotics team for 14 years.

Vanessa has been at Greenville High School for 23 years.  She taught British Literature and Journalism for 18 years and has taught Media Technology and Marketing Education for the past 5 years.

Vanessa graduated from Texas A&M University at Commerce with a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism/Advertising, a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature, and an M. Ed. in Secondary Education.  She has received the honors of Who's Who Among American High School Teachers, Special Distinction from Texas Professional Women, and Key Communicator from Greenville Independent School District.

Away from school, Vanessa raises Braford cattle and runs an antique and collectibles business.  She enjoys sewing with vintage linens and spending time with her grandchildren.

Vanessa's favorite saying is, "With privilege comes responsibility, with responsibility comes privilege."  Her favorite song is "God Bless Texas" and her favorite foods are Karen McClellen's cheesecake and Casey Welch's noodles and chicken.
