2004-2005

The
Robowranglers, sponsored by L-3 Communications Integrated Systems enjoyed another successful year in 2004-2005.
At the Lone Star Regional, the team took home the Best Website
Award for the second straight year. The team's robot, "Lone
Star," featured a scissor lift for raising "tetras" several feet
in the air and placing them on top of goal "tetras."
"Lone
Star" brought the team to a quarterfinal finish alongside teams
1480 and 457. At national competition in Atlanta, the team
advanced to the semifinals with teams 1259 and 74.

2004-2005's team was coached by Greenville High School teachers
Vanessa Pope and Terri Galloway, and New Horizons Learning Center
teacher Johnny Tharp. Students on the team were Peter Chung,
Nathan Follett, Lane Gould, Justin Griggs, Amanda Isham, Matt
Mahrer, Logan Marcum, Jason Maxwell, Beth McClellen, Kevin Morris,
Ashley Owens, Michael Risley, Drew Roberts, Phillip Stromberg,
Justin Tharp, Brian Wight, Megan Wineinger, Lizzy Wisdom, and
Sarah Wright. Volunteering as engineers were Gabe Cook, Adam
Davies, Chris Follett, John Hodapp, Brad Marcum, Steve Maxwell,
Adam Reppond, Casey Welch, and Monty Wineinger.
