Pennies for the 'Bot'

These Greenville High School Robotics Team members seem to be pondering one of the "collection cans" being used for the team's drive to collect at least 200,000 pennies to support their Robotics project.  Last year the team collected some 120,000 pennies from just students at the school, so this year they are going community wide for their collections.  The money will allow them to travel to regional- and national-level competitions next spring.  Students will be going door-to-door and business-to-business in search of pennies.  They will also provide "pick-up" service by calling 457-2609.  From left are the 'Bot' (as in robot), junior Casey Collier, junior Cameron Thatcher, sophomore Matthew Mahrer and junior Ryan Jenkins.
